Her Story

One of my earliest memories of him is also one of the most unexpected. We had barely even spoken when, one day, he casually popped his head over my desk and randomly asked, “Why are your hands so yellow?” Needless to say, I was not impressed. I certainly never would have guessed an opening line that questionable would mark the start of our story.

We are complete opposites. He operates at his own pace, finds fascination in things I would normally overlook, and moves through the world with an effortless, positive energy. While I thrive on order and want things done immediately, he is wonderfully laid-back. Only later did I realize that his version of “laid-back” was actually him sprinting just to keep up with my tempo.

I never expected our two worlds to align, or that our paths would ever cross. But somehow life with him quickly became filled with laughter, new experiences, unexpected firsts, and endless adventures.

What I love most is how grounded and easy life feels with him. He pulls me out of the weeds when I take things too seriously, offers a space where I can be entirely myself, and stands by my side without hesitation. He is the one person I can trust and tease relentlessly, knowing he will always respond with patience and that easygoing smile. Through it all, he has been my partner, my biggest supporter, and my favorite companion for whatever adventure comes next.

We began with curiosity, and over time, we simply became each other’s habit and constant. I feel incredibly lucky to have him beside me for the journey ahead.

His Story

Spring 2022 was one of the most demanding seasons of my life. I was stretched thin, moving through my days with very little energy left to give. Then she came into my life with a warmth and brightness that felt impossible to miss. What started as simple conversations throughout the day quickly became something I looked forward to, and before long, she became the steady source of energy I didn’t know I needed. Through every challenge, transition, and new adventure since, she has remained a constant source of support, encouragement, and perspective.

In the beginning, our dates were simple. Many nights, the only time we had was the drive home together, but even those small moments felt meaningful. As time went on, we learned to make the most of every opportunity to be together - whether it was a quick weekend getaway, working side by side from somewhere new, or planning our next adventure around a busy schedule. We built a life that could travel with us, finding joy in new experiences, shared routines, and the simple act of spending time together. Looking back, our relationship was built on laughter, strengthened through shared adventures, and deepened by a growing understanding of each other. Through every season, she has remained my constant - supporting me not only in life, but also in the work and dreams that matter most to me.

Her name means both beauty and intelligence, and I’m reminded every day of how perfectly it suits her. I admire the way she carries herself through life - with grace, strength, and thoughtfulness. More than anything, she is the person I trust most, the person I turn to first, and the person I want beside me for whatever comes next. I feel incredibly lucky that she has chosen to walk this path with me, and even luckier that I get to build a life with someone I respect, admire, and love so deeply.
